To hell with love.  Does Orpheus want his wife back?  Hell no!  But the sex-crazed gods are hell-bent for a red hot happy hour, and they aren't taking no for an answer.  Can(can) Orpheus play his way out of this one?

Offenbach didn't have much respect for the rules; so in his retelling of the classic myth, Orpheus can't stand his wife and is only too happy to have Pluto drag her off for himself.  It doesn't end there of course.  Orpheus must go to heaven and hell to try and get Eurydice back.  There's one hell of a party on stage as the piece ends with the "infernal cancan."  A perfectly wicked show - it will convert anyone who "doesn't like opera" - there will be hell to pay if you miss it!  Why take the chance?

Not for younger audiences.
