Patti Mudd, Executive Board – Chair
Patti Mudd is the CEO of Mass Flow Associates, a technology company that designs and patents disruptive technologies for the Semiconductor and other gas flow related industries. She has been leading Mass Flow Associates for over 15 years. Prior to this position, she was Director of Materials for Tylan General and for Unit Instruments, and has held other materials management positions in Baxter Healthcare and other companies.
In her spare time, she is a Director on the governing board for Coral Academy of Science Reno, and is involved in leadership positions for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in our local area.
Arlen Pritchard, Executive Board – Vice Chair
In addition to running his own construction company, Mr. Pritchard and his wife own the Steinway Piano Gallery of Reno. The Gallery’s support has been very beneficial to NVO’s performances, especially Artown 2012. Mr. Pritchard is well-connected with the Reno business community.
Maxine Harmatta, Execuitve Board – Secretary
Ms. Harmatta graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Business. She has worked in senior financial management positions for the past 30 years, holds a Certified Managerial Accountant registration and was a founding member of Bay Area CFO.
Leslie Daane, Executive Board – Treasurer
Leslie Daane is a shareholder of Barnard, Vogler & Co. and is the firm’s Director of Taxation and Managing Director. With over twenty years experience in public accounting, Leslie has provided a full range of audit, tax and consulting services to a wide variety of clients.
Leslie graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Nevada, and is a member of the Nevada Society of Public Accountants (NVCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition, Leslie has been certified as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).
Leslie’s community involvement has included a term on the State Board of Equalization, President of a private school board, and a board member of various charitable organizations. She is a past President of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada and of SAFE (Special Advocates for Elders). Leslie is currently a board member of CPAmerica International, Center for Healthy Aging and the UNR Accounting Department Advisory Board.
Joe Chavez, Information Officer – Press
Joe has applied his passion for computer science to application domains such as business process automation, astronomy and gaming systems. Joe holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Science and is a Staff R&D Software Engineer at International Game Technology. Prior to joining IGT in 2007 Joe applied his software engineering skills to NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope as part of the Spitzer Science Center at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. In his spare time Joe conducts experiments in chaos theory through the visual and audio mediums. In 2010, he published the book “365 Strange Attractors” based series of 365 fractals created in the year 2010. Following this, in 2011 he composed and published and album for ambient music titled, “Random Acts of Ambients, Vol.1″. Joe, his wife Rachel and two children currently reside in Reno.

Inge Gerber, Director
Ms. Gerber attended the University of Nevada at Reno and studied fine arts. Her background also includes education, sculpting and dance. She has been the Clinic Director with Gerber Medical for 35 years.
Pam Hourihan, Information Officer – Special Events
A lifelong Alaskan and outdoor enthusiast, Pam relocated to the Reno area from Alaska in 2010. A business owner in Alaska for 30 years, she brings a wealth of business and fundraising acumen to the Nevada Opera Board of Directors. She has been an avid fan and supporter of the opera and arts her entire adult life.
Chris Nelson, Director
Chris Nelson brings to the Board skills in web development, social media networking, promotional work, and more.
Past experience include technical writing (5 years’ experience), customer service and payroll accounting (8 years). Past studies include computer programming, writing, architectural drafting, Spanish language, and music.
