A classically trained operatic baritone originally from California, Cusick studied voice with Ted Puffer at the University of Nevada, Reno. Mr. Cusick was an avid Musical Theater performer as well and performed in both operas and Broadway shows at UNR and for Nevada Opera. Mr. Cusick went on to receive a full scholarship to The Julliard School and graduated from the school's renowned opera center in 1993. Mr. Cusick has sung with many renowned opera companies and is has also translated and modulated his passion for music into visual art and photography. His art incorporates oil and acrylic paints, acrylic resins and various subtrates and is mounted on wood of various sizes and shapes.
The true artistic Renaissance Man, Mr. Cusick resides in the Hudson River Valley, where he owns and operates the Russell Cusick Gallery in Beacon, New York, travelling across country to satisfy his love and passion for singing.
